Ok with the coming expansion things such as raiding are slowing down as many peeps are preparing their Alts for WotLK so they can take them too.  Heroics are still running but its a catch em situation whereas Kara is running with Group 1 as normal.  Group 3 (Zagithan) is also going to run this week.

So if you want to raid have a word with a raid leader, either Blackout or Zagithan.

We have some new pics of Killer aka Priestian and Missy aka Missladyface and also one of /drumroll .............. JEZ!

A new officer - Taffwrath - Grtz on your promotion bud.

WotLK - Due out on November 13th so just messing around really for next month although will be raiding as normal.

WotLK - On release I guess everyone is going to be maniacally leveling as Kara gear will not be up to the stats on the new gear.  Check out your new talents on wow.europe.  I get to dual weild 2h's.  Sooooo Kl.

Forget G1a - Group 1 beat them to the punch with a full boss completion of Kara.  GRTZ to all involved and ofc comisserations to Group 1A who put up a valiant competition

Hehe, now we all know we are first and foremost a social guild but I thought it would only be fair to mention that as a  Social Raiding Guild, we have completed Kara and are well into za with the 25 mans to come.

Okdokey, news, erm.....  Well its a new week at Kara, got some cool ZA screenshots to add now (although not uplaoded as server is playing up) and a great song with that amazing accent of Hunny's (Tyriona).  Well seeing as she sung it, it should really feature her dont you think? (aaargh still having trouble)!

OOOH forgot to say that Group 1A/2 have sent some of their times in - nice effort guys!

We are also building a new site and bear with me as its doing my nut, it'll  be worth it in the end though.

Anything you wanna see or add to the site let me know!

Ok so the result is this, first time out we drop the first 2 bosses easily, thought this was suppopsed to be hard hehe.  Could be the fact that we had good instruction on them, possibly?  Only problem is the instruction ran out at the 2nd Boss so after that we were basically testing out our armour lol. 

We would like to welcome all the new members and encourage them to particpate in the madness we call Botl (Brotherhood of the light).

Now I dont know if you guys are aware but there seems to be some competition between Kara Group 1 and Kara Group 1a/2 or whatever they are calling themselves today.  So seeing as I have been unable to stop it I am going to add a new forum in the Raids Forum for peeps to post their fastest times on bosses although it must be backed up with screenies which you will be able to see in the Photo Gallery.  So post em to the address above.

 Ok see you all in game and leave you with this thought...................  Is Killer really gay or is it an act?  Now we are very open minded here so it is fine, but I think he is having trouble coming out of the closet.  Feel free to ask him to find out.

How are you all?  Ok - reason for the site being so quiet is that we have been in the process of creating a new one and heck its harder than we thought lol but it is gonna be the dogs nuts!!   Check out Botl2.com for a general idea.

Ok will be using this one again for the time being and adding pics, songs and stuff so have a wander and a look around for new items.

Peeps - A day for the record books - 14th Aug 08 - BOTL runs its first 25 man raid into Gruuls Lair.                Thankyou to all those who took part and what an event it was.  The trash on the way went down easily without a hitch and after a few mistrials the group put their heads together and hatched a plan for the bosses.  Great team work all and YES we killed Blindeye the Seer (Priest).  Shame that we ran out of time and peeps had to leave as it really came together and I think we could have downed em all.  WELL DONE ALL!!!

Just want to put a few words across to congratulate All the members of the Group 2 Kara run n there success so far in such a short time scale.  So far we have managed to plough through attuman, rip through Moroes (eventually :D), /slap. maiden, tear straight through opera, show Curator who's boss and finaly fly through chess.
Some great players are now settled in the group and we are now working very very well with each other. I can see us taking aran and the big ol' prince very soon guys congratulations.

Basically all I can say is that we have found the right peeps now and the group is settling in very well.  1st night into Kz we took 5 bosses in such a short time we were all chufffed and Maiden in 2 mins 36 secs (BEAT THAT G2) hehe.

Not gonna list all the names as we all know who we are but we are an amazing team and we are gonna fly through the whole of Kz in no time.  Well done guys!!

Well Ok, technically its not been a full week, but WOW (not WoW) what a week so far!  We have 2 full groups running at the same time in Kara and pleased to say G2 are doing really well.  Killer and Salty are running G2 for the time being and what a difference that has made.  Obviously G1 misses em but now we get to compete and race each other (frienldy like).

In celebration of this we have decided it is time to get a Vent server and we now have a 25 man server up and running!  That way the 2 groups can each have their own channels and after tests it has turned out to be brilliant.

Well I am back from my short afk so all cheer!  Gant is also back (so time to return to being polite to Ikira  /groan)  and we soon will be inviting a stray wayward member to return who will be of great assistance to Group 2.  He really is good and will be a helpfull handfull lol.

Woot! The dawn of a new week.   I have started to count Wednesdays as the beginning of the WoW week due to the fact that the infamous Kara resets on a Wednesday.

I feel I need to draw peoples attention to what Botl is all about.  We are first and foremost a SOCIAL guild and we are not really bothered about your gear tbh.  Group 1 Kara started in greens and blues and now most of Grp 1 is full epic or getting there!  So dont feel you have anything to prove we want to have fun first and enjoy the raids and YES we will all end up with epic gear and will move on past Kara and onto 25 man raids.  For fun though, if you are going to have a coronary about a wipe then this really isnt the guild for you.  Blackie is very kindly going to POST in the FORUMs 'What we are all about...." some info to help you get a feel for the guild.  Seriously check out the forums, photo gallery, videos etc to see the success that we are starting to have and MORE IMPORTANTLY the FUN we have doing it.

Did it happen? Yes it really did. Last night BOTL had 2 yes TWO Groups running in Kara and with a fresh start today who knows what will happen?

Finally a GREAT BIG WELCOME TO ALL the new BOTL members.  Welcome aboard and I hope that you find a permanent place in our guild which strives for friendliness, fun and ofc the odd raid.  If you want to do nothing but be in our guild that is fine.  If you want to PvP that is also fine (meatheads), soz my word for PvPers although I do have some Arena gear (but dont tell Nexxus):p  Basically we try to cater to all tastes but THIS is NOT a hardcore raiding guild but we do like to raid, but you dont have to if you dont want to, we dont care we just want you to feel at home here.

Mind you the slippery beatch 'Maiden of Virtue' gave em hassle but dont worry on that score as we had loads of bother with her.  There is a forum posting on her guys for you to look at - It shows the way we dropped her.  Once again, a job well done guys

A great big thankyou to 'Fuzzy' (with one of his alts) from 'DeMons' who stepped into the breach at the last minute to help us out.  Cheers mate.  On that note we are arranging to join them in a few joint guild 25 man raids so watch this space...

As for the recent recruitment drive we have enough peeps to maintain 2 continous groups at Kara if we can arrange convenient times and we are STILL recruiting!

We are recruiting more healers so have faith guys - We will get you all to Kara.  Also if the plan that we have works we may be borrowing some healers off a lovely 'Irish Red' - Watch the calendar

Guys the whole guild are going to move over to the latest version of  GroupCalendar as of today.

Also now that the bugs have been fixed we are going to revert back to Omen Threat Meter. 

Those at Kara are required to have ==>Deadly Boss Mods<==!   This mod can actually make the difference between success and a wipe!

As you can see there is a new page called Photo Gallery.  This is because the screenshots page has become so long I am going to put them into some kind of order.  Screenshots is the main point of pictures at the moment untill I move them all across - SO CONTINUE to check screenshots for a quick laugh!

Please note that Polls and Videos are still being worked on so are works in progress (as is he whole site), which I can only ammend and change as and when I have a few hours.

Well it's been a strange couple of weeks dont you think?

- A change of management, (btw check out the screenshots page).

- The success of Kara Group 1

- Kara Group 2 almost of the ground, only to encounter trouble at the last hurdle due to departure (Kick) of the new Raid Leader.  Glad to see that many of you made it there even with that little hiccup, I would be interested to hear your feedback on it.

On that note we currently have 38 Level 70 players with 35 mains so the success of Group 2 is there for the taking!

 - Finally a great BIG WELCOME to the new members.

Recruitment

We have started a recruitment drive to bring in more levels 50+.  We aim to increase the lower levels to promote more sociability and to also allow for more raiding in the future if people wish to.

The other reason for the recruitment drive is that we have alot of 70's.  IF they were all on at the same time we would be able to run 2 full Kara Groups. Alas, we all have real life committments and different WoW gaming times.

Therefore we are recruiting more members so that we can have 2 runs a week at different times which hopefully will suit all members.           

• Group 1 runs at 22:30 WoW time. (This group is a seperate late night group who wish to run more than once per week and continue from where they left off).
• Group 2 is an earlier group with times to be arranged.    =>Please note thread in Kara section regarding letting us know what times are good for you!<=                                                       

• There are no restrictions on guildies running their own Kara Raids at this time.  Any member may post an event on the Calendar for peeps to sign up to.

Please remember we are first and foremost a SOCIAL guild, so feel free to join in the guild chat and use the forums.

Tip for you all:

If someone is having a private arguement with you and you know its gonna become public, take screenshots of the entire conversation. It works a charm as you can prove the other person to be talking shite!

After so many problems and lots of testing of Omen by members of this guild, we have decided to drop Omen.  A sad day but since 2.4 patch it has been one long nightmare therefore:

OMEN threat meter - NO LONGER IN USE

KTM - the new threat meter 

• Delete Omen from your addon file
• Download KTM from here 
• Do not worry if it says KLH. It is the same thing.
• Install in your addon file and enable: Works like a dream!

This is a work in progress and being done in the early hours of the morning, so please make allowances.
